On June 25 and 26, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management - Prof. Nona Gelitashvili participated in an online workshop on "Time Management and Self-Management in Science" organized by the Viadrina Center for Graduate Studies at Europa-Universität Viadrina (Frankfurt Oder, Germany).
At the mentioned event Prof. Nona Gelitashvili was invited as a participant in the research project of the European University of Viadrina. Young scientists and researchers from the Universities of Frankfurt and Berlin also took part in the workshop.The workshop was conducted in the format of discussion and group work. Meetings within the framework of the workshop were given the opportunity to Prof. Nona Gelitashvili, to expand the area of international cooperation of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management, as well as to enrich the knowledge in the field of organizing scientific research. The Viadrina Center for Graduate Studies plans to hold several more online meetings dedicated to discussing the implementation of the knowledge gained in the workshops in practice and the evaluation of the effectiveness of scientific activities.
The first law student online scientific conference on "Current issues of law in the context of a pandemic" will be held on July 10, 2020 at 12 o'clock, organized by the Faculty of Law of Tbilisi Humanitarian University. The conference aims to establish and develop legal-analytical thinking among students, students will be able to present current issues of law from different angles, to conduct in-depth discussion and analysis of practical and conflictual issues. The conference serves to raise the legal awareness of students, identify and encourage successful students. Students of bachelor's and master's degree programs in law from all accredited higher education institutions of Georgia can take part in the conference.

On June 12, 2020, the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management hosted a public lecture on "Inflation Targeting and Price Stability."
The lecture was chaired by Shalva Mxatrishvili, Head of the Macroeconomic Research Department of the National Bank of Georgia, Technical Advisor of the International Monetary Fund.
The speaker spoke about the importance of price stability and the central bank's monetary policy instruments. Since the National Bank of Georgia uses the inflation targeting mode, it is logical to discuss whether inflation targeting is indeed a more effective mode than other alternatives to ensure price stability.The public lecture was dedicated to the discussion of this issue, the speaker shared the experience of other countries with the listeners, which aroused special interest.
The public lecture was held online using the Zoom platform. The lecture was attended by THU students, professors and other stakeholders. The lecture was held in an interactive mode, the second part of the lecture was entirely devoted to questions and discussion.

"Orkisi" Union of Georgian Nature Researchers, with the financial support of the Swedish government, is announcing an essay competition on waste management, aimed at promoting environmental issues and sustainable development goals through the eyes of young people and increasing their involvement.
Students of higher education institutions can participate in the competition.
The deadline for submission of essays is July 5, 2020, 18:00 and should be 5-7 pages. Within the framework of the competition, 1 winner will be revealed, who will be awarded a cash prize of 500 GEL.

Student Online Conference on "Problems and Challenges of Economics and Business Against the Context of Covid Pandemic"
The conference is open to undergraduate students of all levels who are interested in studying and analyzing current problems / challenges in the field of local and international economics and business, as well as identifying current trends and future prospects.
