International Conference in Paphos
On October 18-21, the 16th Conference for Cultural Tourism in Europe " Smart Tourism/ Smart Destinations" was held in Paphos (Cyprus). Professor Nona Gelitashvili of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management of the Tbilisi Humanitarian Theaching University and associate professors Irma Molashkhia and Maia Meladze (research and development center specialist), also assistant Ana Gvaramadze and coordinator Irma Tsiklauri took part in the conference.
The European Cultural Tourism Network ECTN was the organizer of the conference. It is the only pan-European network for Cultural Tourism Development and promotion. whose members are destination authorities, Institutes, Universities and NGOs. ECTN is an affiliate member of UNWTO.
At the conference, Associate Professor Maia Meladze with assistant Ana Gvaramadze presented "Smart Applications in raising awareness of Georgian UNESCO World Heritage Sites". The conference topic of Associate Professor Irma Molashkhia, Professor Nona Gelitashvili and coordinator Irma Tsiklauri: "Energy Efficient Technologies for Sustainable Cultural Tourism in Georgia" was presented to the audience by M. Meladze.
Representatives of various European universities and associations participated in the conference, the perspective of future cooperation and the possibility of implementing joint projects were outlined
