Democracy and Citizenship

On October 5, 2023, marks an exciting development as Tbilisi Humanitarian Teaching University joins our esteemed list of partner universities alongside the Association of Civic Education Lecturers (CELA). The primary objective outlined in the memorandum of cooperation recently signed between the parties is to provide students at Tbilisi Humanitarian Teaching University with access to the IFES-developed civic education course, "Democracy and Citizenship." This initiative aims to enhance the civic competencies of these students and further empower them in their journey toward active citizenship.

Conversely, IFES, in collaboration with the Association of Civic Education Lecturers (CELA) and with the generous support of USAID, will be dedicated to fostering the professional development of course instructors and promoting active student engagement in public affairs.
