The webinar “Introduction to Post-Conflict Justice”

 

Within the framework of initiative “Online Webinar Series on International Law”, Georgian Young Reformers' Association (GYRA), in collaboration with International Institute for Strategic Research (IISR) and Tbilisi Humanitarian University, is pleased to invite you to attend the webinar “Introduction to Post-Conflict Justice”, which will be held on 29th November 2023, at 16:00 Central European Time (CET).

The webinar will be led by Ms. Pauline Martini, a Project Officer at the International Nuremberg Principles Academy and a Ph.D. Candidate at Queen Mary University of London (United Kingdom), where her research focused on the impacts of the decision of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to close the preliminary examination over the Situation in Colombia. Ms. Pauline also holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Law from the University of Liège (Belgium) and an LL.M. in Public International Law from Leiden University (The Netherlands).

Pauline Martini specializes in international criminal law and transitional justice. She has professional experience as a staff member and consultant for different NGOs and international criminal tribunals, including the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. Pauline has also been involved in the drafting of a communication to the ICC Prosecutor on the commission of crimes against humanity in the Brazilian Amazon.

Pauline has teaching experience in public international law, criminal law as well as law and public policy at Brussels University (Belgium), Queen Mary University of London (United Kingdom) and the University of Oxford (United Kingdom), and has several academic publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

The webinar will be moderated by the Head of the International Law and International Relations Program at GYRA and the Director of International Institute for Strategic Research, Giorgi Chachkhiani.
