"Modern Challenges of Science" international scientific conference of students

On June 17, 2024, an international scientific conference of students was successfully held at the Tbilisi Humanitarian Education University, entitled "Modern Challenges of Science". The event was planned with the initiative and support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, within the framework of the Week of Young Scientists.

Representatives of the Research and Innovation Directorate of the European Commission were actively involved in the mentioned week; "Horizonti Europe" National Office of Georgia; Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation; Youth Agency; National Center for Manuscripts of Georgia named after SSP K. Kekelidze; Center of Experimental Biomedicine named after SSP Ivane Beritashvili and 13 higher educational institutions.

The International Student Conference of THU made a special impression on each student and participant, 57 undergraduate, master's and doctoral students from various Georgian universities and foreign higher educational institutions (Germany, Romania, Poland, Philippines and Nigeria) took part in it.

The conference included four different sections - medicine, law, business economics and psychology. The penetration took place in both hybrid and on-line modes. Each section was led by moderators and competent commission members of the field, including from different universities.

At the conference, students presented interesting reports that directly addressed the modern challenges of young scientists. A discussion was held in question-answer mode. A number of proposals and opinions were voiced by the participants for the purpose of popularizing various fields of science and its further development. The conference was held in a calm and pleasant environment, which earned high praise from the invited guests and the attending community.

The administration of THU expresses its special gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, in particular to Ketevan Kokrashvili, the head of the Science Development Department, and Zurab Khutsishvili, the representative of the same ministry, the main specialist of the Science and Technology Division, for their close cooperation and support, because within the framework of the Scientists' Week, Georgian and foreign students They had the opportunity to be actively involved in a large-scale project and demonstrate their skills.
