Erasmus+ Contact Seminar and Visit of German universities representatives to THU
- On October 30-31, 2019, a contact seminar organized by the Erasmus + Georgian National Office was held, with the aim of establishing direct contacts between Georgian and European partners within the framework of exchange scholarship programs. 44 higher education institutions of Georgia and 46 universities of 11 European countries (Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Turkey) participated in the seminar. The seminar was attended by more than 120 representatives of universities. Among them were the representatives of THU: Head of the International Relations Service - Ketevan Tsertsvadze, Dean of the Faculty of Law - Prof. Lika Chighlashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management - Prof. Nona Gelitashvili and the coordinator of the same faculty - Irma Tsiklauri.
Within the framework of the event, on October 31, representatives of German universities visited THU: 1) Head of the Department of Eastern European History and Culture, University of Passau - Prof. Thomas Wünsch (Universität Passau, Prof. Dr. Thomas Wünsch), 2) Chairman of the Academic Council of the University of Justus-Libig in Giessen - Prof. Rolf-Alexander Düring (Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, Prof. Dr. Rolf-Alexander Düring), 3) Vice-President of the Technical University of Aschaffenburg Prof. Holger Pashedag - Die Technische Hochschule Aschaffenburg, Prof. Dr. Holger Paschedag) and 4) International Project Coordinator, Tsumkau University of Applied Sciences - Kumushay Arzybaeva (Die Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau (WHZ), Kumushay Arzybaeva). The parties talked about their current activities and future prospects of cooperation, outlined concrete ways to develop and implement joint projects.
