International Students Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference
On April 23, 2023, International Institute for Strategic Research (IISR), with the support of Tbilisi Humanitarian University, hosted the International Students Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference, which included 60 participants from 34 countries representing 49 universities.
In the opening remarks, Director of International Institute for Strategic Research, Giorgi Chachkhiani and Vice Rector of Tbilisi Humanitarian University, Prof. Lia Chighlashvili addressed the participants and congratulated them on successfully overcoming high competition in selection and participation in the conference. They emphasized the unprecedented scale of the conference and the importance of inclusive, multicultural research in academic space.
The conference featured six thematic sections: Law, Business, Economics and Management, International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, Humanitarian and Social Sciences, and Medicine. Keynote speakers, doctoral, master, and bachelor students from the University of Szeged (Hungary), University of Jaffna (Sri Lanka), Chouaib Doukkali University (Morocco), University St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola (North Macedonia), Afe Babalola University (Nigeria), Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), South Asian University (India), Cairo University (Egypt), Pázmány Péter Catholic University - University of National Excellence (Hungary), Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University (Kazakhstan), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), Tbilisi Humanitarian University (Georgia), Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary), and Central European University (Austria) successfully presented their papers to an international audience.
In addition to panelists, students and scholars from Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Georgia, Ghana, Hungary, Japan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Italy, India, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Oman, Moldova, Romania, Singapore, Tunisia, Turkey and Vietnam attended and actively participated in the conference with their comments and questions.
